The few things in life that I was 100% sure that I wanted

May be silly, may be serious, but have you ever had those moments in your life where, in the privacy of your own mind, you knew a hundred percent that you wanted something? Well this is my list, at least the ones I can remember.

  • I would study Computer Science, and eventually get my PhD in it
  • I would marry by the age of 25 (I guess we know this is impossible now.. :p)
  • I would own a little Fujitsu tablet ( My colleague just bought one today and now I’m seeing this wish is extremely possible to come to fruition in the next few months)
  • I would play a major part in bringing a piece of software to existence, that a majority would use to make something they do a whole lot easier/better
  • I would learn to play the saxophone, and be good at it
  • I would write a song that a bunch of people would happily sing along to
  • I would dance in my spare time
  • I would be Nancy Drew :)
  • I would own a Mini Cooper
  • I would find out what I really wanted in life

Ooh, let me write down mine!

    1. Become a game developer/make a game
    2. Start my own business
    3. Own the following things: video camera, tablet PC
    4. Get a pet
    5. Help my relatives migrate here!!

Those are the things I’m 100% sure I want.

I didn’t know you wanted to get married at 25 :P Why 25 by the way? My “marriage” age is 26-28. The reason I want it like that is 25 is a milestone for me, I want to make sure that the years before that, I will be focused on becoming what I want to be, and achieving my dreams ;)

Ugh that’s 2 years from now!

well this was when I was still in highschool, back in my province and I didn’t really see myself going beyond the borders of my city :p I had a simple dream then: graduate, teach at my local university and find a husband to raise a good family with. Idealistic but back then it seemed like the perfect life plan. If that was what happened, I think I wouldn’t have regretted but I guess things happen for a reason :)

I guess 26-28 is a reasonable age. I just didn’t want to have that huge a gap between myself and my kids.
